Ben's Playmobil Rendention of Dangerous Journey (Pilgrim's Progress)

Image
Our boys love watching Dangerous Journey, which is a young person's version of Paul Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress . You can also find this version in book form (we have it as well). You can watch it here for free: http://www.answersingenesis.org/kids/videos or you can buy it inexpensively at http://www.amazon.com/ . Our library also carries it, so that may be an option. The other day, Ben chose to display certain characters and scenes from this video. I just had to share.

Thank You for Making My Birthday Special

John took Aaron and the boys to the meeting while I stayed home. I rode my bike, made a card and relaxed. My husband cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill served with beans, potato salad, cole slaw, chips, watermelon, and cantaloupe -- a fun "unhealthy" day of eating. LOL He baked and decorated a cake and hung star balloons in the kitchen. He bought these really pretty party plates and cups to make the table pretty. Aaron picked up the ice cream and soda. We ate on the picnic table outside enjoying the blooming azaleas, salvia, centaurea montana, candytuft and phlox. I think John is worn out from all of the shopping and cooking. Aaron made me a card with my stamping stuff (you can see it below). Ben made me a pretty placemat with stamps. John gave me a card titled, "To my friend," in reference to the movie John Adams we just watched and wrote "if I were president, I would seek your counsel." This made me cry. John bought me some stamps I had aske...

Look at the Birthday Card Aaron Made for Me!

Isn't that corner sun a cute idea? He actually used a corner rounder punch to create an arc to trace. He then cut out the rays with an x-acto blade. How creative and sweet he is. :) During the process, he also discovered that Fluid Chalk Inks work better on clear stamps than most other inks. :)

Four More Cards

Using the same Making Memories Chloe's Closet line from Michaels, I made four more cards. I just love that paper! I'll come back later to post details about products used. My sweet hubby is about to grill a birthday dinner for me!

Cards I Made -- Inspired by Jennifer McGuire

Image
These two cards are inspired by Jennifer McGuire -- from the Creating Keepsakes May 2009 issue. I didn't use the same exact products, but I followed the same design and ideas. I just love her style and had such a great time starting with such a fabulous design and using what I have. To see more of her work, go to http://jennifermcguireink.typepad.com/ .

I found a new stamping blog!

http://cherryhilldesign.blogspot.com/ I just love her style! Check it out. :)
